The Victorian Modified Production Association (VMPA) , it's members and committee, welcome you to this, our first tentative steps into cyberspace....please be patient while we find our feet, we endeavor to keep everyone informed of our activities, events and results as they come to hand.......

This season, 2006-07, marks the eleventh consecutive series run by the VMPA, and again we must thank Russell and Glenda Bent of Bass Highway Waste for their continued support. The 2006-07 Bass Highway Waste State Series is to be run over Five Rounds, a reduction from previous years to enable our members to conduct a concerted attack on the 2006-07 ASCF/SSA Australian Modified Production National Title, to be held over the 2007 Easter Weekend (April 5-8), and conducted at Western Speedway, Hamilton, in Victoria.

The VMPA State series has lifted the level of Modified Production racing in Victoria over the years, but none more so than last. Current Australia 1, Justin Drew cut his teeth in VMPA competition, as did Ashley Parkinson (Current Aus 2/Vic 1, former Aus 1) and Cairns driver, Wayne Miles (Current Aus 3) developed his new race car while competing in the 2005-06 series.....

The Di Watson Memorial event, conducted at the opening series round, is held in high respect among the VMPA competitors. Di Watson was instrumental in establishing the VMPA and set the foundations for what we enjoy today.......the most diverse and competitive speedway sedan series in Victoria.

Current VMPA Champion, Graham West, has his tried and tested LJ Torana primed and ready to take on the late models of Justin Drew (VX Commodore), Ashley Parkinson (VY Commodore), Neil Watson (BF Falcon) and Fiona Verhoeven (BF Falcon). Throw into the mix a broad and diverse range of earlier model Commodores and Falcons, and the RX-7 of Peter 'Spider' McCarthy (current SA 1) and BMW of Mildura's Micheal Soloman......and picking a clear favorite becomes a hard task

The Members and Committee of the Victorian Modified Production Association encourage spectators to come into the pits after the race meetings, say “G'day” to the drivers and collect this season's poster at a track near YOU!
